If you are using your talent to make yourself look good, you might do things that clearly go against God’s Word.

If you’re a musician, you might write a song that praises money or having a lot of women. And because you’re so influential, people actually go with it.

When you are using your talent to glorify God, His Word is the standard for everything you do. You are constantly seeking the Holy Spirit for approval and to keep you in check.

If your gifts glorify you only, you are quick to jump on any opportunity that benefits you and increases your chances of being successful.

When you use your gift to glorify God, you are willing to pass up a few offers at the expense of defending the gospel.

Even when they try to up the ante...like that would ever work on you.

The next week you’re at bible study flexin like

If you use your talent to glorify yourself, you prefer to be in the spotlight so people can see you.

When you use your talent to glorify God, Jesus shines so bright that no one can deny His presence.

When your gifts glorify you, it will be easy to get a lot of support and gain followers. Don’t be surprised if 500 people show up to your opening night.

If you are truly glorifying God, people probably won’t think it’s as cool. Don’t be surprised if 5 people show up to support you.

The next week you’re at bible study replaying how you felt before God showed up like

When your talent glorifies you alone, you will get burned out because you are continuously pouring out and never getting poured into. You will probably always feel like giving up. Like it’s not even worth it.

When you use your talent to glorify God, He will fill you up until you overflow. He will give you new mercies every morning.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[Matthew 11:28]

Oh and if you’ve already gone this far using your talent to glorifying yourself, now is the perfect time to make the change. You don’t have to feel bad. Seriously, Jesus died for this.

Besides, you can always just go to bible study next week and testify like
